I purchased an off brand ink and as soon as I installed it, my printer stopped printing properly. Lines were a mess, incomplete, and just plain would not print. I sent back and purchased the factory replacements and my first print came out perfect. No need to even do maintenance. Great product and will only buy manufacturer brand only.

No problems with this ink ever. I always prefer to buy the ink from the manufacturer and Amazon always has the best price for it. Switched over to laser for my BW needs but this ink is still being used in a printer I've had for over 2 years without a single paper jam!

...because I ordered this exact same product 6 months ago, I know that it is the correct pigment ink tank for my Canon PIXMA MP610 printer; that is, a PG-5 Bk NOT a PGI-5 Bk. If you enlarge the product photo, you will see the correct product label. I don't know if there is any real difference between the PG- and the PGI- versions, but if there is you will be most unhappy with the wrong product. I have alerted Amazon.com to this discrepancy and, hopefully, they will correct either the photo or the label.
Editorial errors aside, I love my PIXMA printer and would not dream of using any other so-called "compatible" ink; only Canon for my baby. I've sent too many printers to an early grave by using compatible ink products.
